Hi Room 6 Families!

First off, thanks so much and great job rallying for Ms. Rathert’s birthday! Through your generous contributions, we were able to gift her favorite lunch from Panera, a box of yummy almond croissants, a big bag of her favorite candies and snacks, her favorite Starbucks drink and a $100 gift card to Target. And the cards were so awesome! Way to go and thank you!

Now, TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK is around the corner, from MAY  3-7, and it’s another great opportunity to show Ms. Rathert how much we appreciate everything she’s done for our kids! Each day has a different theme.  Below is a flyer from the school with the details for each day.   To help us make the most of it, here are some of Ms. Rathert’s faves:

  • Favorite color: yellow

  • Favorite salty snack: chex mix

  • Favorite beverage: Starbucks chai with no water, extra chai

  • Favorite baked good: almond croissant or pumpkin scone

  • Favorite types of gift cards: Macy’s, Target, Amazon

  • Favorite restaurant: Tomatina

  • Favorite lunch: Panera green goddess salad

  • Favorite sweet treats: almost anything, but especially cinnamon jelly bellies

Ms. Rathert also has a Donors Choose page, where we can donate to help get school supplies for the classroom, and all donations are tax deductible. You can check it out HERE. 

PLUS, if you make your donation on May 4, your contribution will be matched 50%! If you go the Donors Choose route, you can give Ms. Rathert a little notice of your donation for Thursday’s activity (i.e. a printout of your donation or note/email about the donation). I’m sure she would love Amazon gift cards to purchase supplies as well.
